A process for the continuous polymerisation of vinyl monomers with formation of vinyl polymers having a molecular weight of Mn = 1000 to 20,000, characterised in that the polymerisation is carried out in an annular gap reactor with a gap of from 0.5 to 10 mm in width, in that the annular gap is delimited on the inside by a rotor, and in that the polymerisation is carried out at a temperature of from 110 to 270 DEG C. |
