Acyl- (2'-hydroxybiphenyl-2-yl) phosphinic acid salts have the formula (I), in which the residues R1, R2 and R3 may be contained one or more times and in which R1 and R2 represent independently of each other hydrogen, an alkyl or alkoxyl residue each having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a halogen having an atomic number between 9 and 35; R3 has the same notation as R1 / R2, Ar denotes an aromatic hydrocarbon residue with 6 to 10 carbon atoms and Me is a cation of at least one alkali metal or N (R4) 4+, where the residues R4 are the same or different and denote an alkyl residue having between 1 and 6 carbon atoms. The invention further relates to a process for the production of these compounds (I), as well as their use as photoinitiators in photopolymerizable materials, preferably water-based. |
