A building element in the form of a panel or shell can be exposed to high static and dynamic stresses. The building element consists of a plastic reaction material, such as polyurethane, in which is incorporated a reinforcing structure having the following composition: - first and second outer layers (10, 18) made of a fiber fabric elastically stretchy organic; - first and second stiffening layers of glass fibers each adjacent to the inner surface of one of the two outer layers (10, 18); - a compressible spacer layer of polyamide fibers arranged in the interior space between the two layers (12, 16) of glass fibers. The reinforcement structure has sufficient porosity in all of the layers so that it can be impregnated with a low viscosity reaction mixture which forms the reaction plastic during foaming. |
