abstract Translucent, IR-reflecting bodies with sun protection and thermal insulation, such as plates, multi-wall sheets or skylights, with a transmission in the visible range (T) of 45 to 75%, a total radiation transmittance (g) of 30 to 60% and a ratio T / g > 1.15 can be made of a stiff, amorphous base material made of translucent plastic and a translucent coating material with a content of 20 to 40 wt .-% of red and IR reflecting particles, which consist of a 60 to 120 nm thick layer of Titanium dioxide on a platelet-shaped carrier pigment, by coextrusion or coating, the IR-reflecting particles in a 5 to 40 micrometer thick, adhering to the base material coating layer of a transparent, water-insoluble binder are aligned parallel to the surface.
