abstract The invention relates to improved cement compositions which have better properties of flexural strength, tensile strength and shear adhesion, as well as better shear resistance, than current cement compositions. wear resistance, lower water permeability and better workability. These compositions are prepared with treated water using a component based on emulsified tar, and preferably with a residual amount of sodium tripolyphosphate. Methods for forming shaped articles from such compositions are also described.
