Bank of bio-oligomers of defined size and known composition, said bank contains all the possible sequences of bio-oligomers, and its method of synthesis. The bio-oligomers of the library can be peptides, nucleic acids or a combination of these. The invention also relates to methods of identifying bio-oligomers from a library having desired characteristics such as binding, bioactivity and catalytic activity. Thus, the invention presents a unique and powerful method of identifying sequences of useful bio-oligomers from a library, more quickly than the current technique allows. The invention further relates to effector molecules for use in the treatment or diagnosis of diseases. |
