A method of introducing a peptide into the cytosol by binding the peptide to a bacterial or plant toxin, or a mutant thereof. Process for the preparation of a vaccine by binding of a peptide to a bacterial or plant toxin, or to a mutant thereof, so as to effect the translocation of said peptide into the cytosol for subsequent presentation on the surface of the cell by major histocompatability complex (MHC) class I antigens, in order to elicit a limited immune response and to increase the CD8 + T cell population. Vaccines obtained by said method and their use against viruses, bacteria and intracellular parasites as well as molecules associated with malignancies. |
