Method of purifying cytokeratin 20, and the use of cytokeratin 20 to produce antibodies |
abstract |
According to a process for the purification of cytokeratin 20 (CK 20), a cytoskeleton fraction is produced from cells containing CK 20, the proteins contained in this fraction are separated by gel electrophoresis and / or by chromatography and recovered. CK 20 in the gel or in the chromatographic fraction containing CK 20. According to a method for producing antibodies specific for CK 20, purified CK 20 is used for immunization purposes and produced according to methods known in itself monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies. These antibodies are used for the immunological identification of CK 20 or its alpha helical middle portion obtained by proteolytic cleavage in sections of tissue, in homogenized tissue and in body fluids. |
