A polyvalent immunoglobulin which comprises at least three regions of agglutination of linked antigens, each of said regions being specific for a complementary implantation located on a cytokine (for example, TNF-alpha, TNF-beta, an interleukin, an interferon such as IFN-gamma, or / and a colony stimulating factor) and typically activates with the cytokine to neutralize its biological activity. Multipurpose immunoglobulins have surprisingly increased neutralization efficiency and are used for therapeutic and prophylactic treatment of conditions involving abnormally high levels of cytokines. The polyvalent immunoglobulin preferably comprises between 4 and 20 agglutination regions of antigens, which are, in particular, of the IgG category. The polyvalent immunoglobulin can comprise recombinant immunoglobulin molecules as well as fragments thereof and the agglutination regions of antigens can be covalently or non-covalently linked. |
