abstract |
Fluorescein dilaurate is dissolved in coconut oil and converted into an oil/water emulsion in the presence of a mannitol. The compound is administered orally. Fluorescein and mannitol are excreted in the urine. The ratio of recovered fluorescein and mannitol makes it possible to detect pancreatic insufficiency without resorting to control experiments. |
