Methods for detecting human leukemias |
abstract |
Bcl-3 gene sequences can be used to monitor the success of chemotherapy and to detect minimal residual disease in patients with hematopoietic malignancies. Bcl-3 sequences can also be used to identify new cellular oncogenes implicated in hematopoietic cell malignancies by taking advantage of their adjacency to the bcl-3 promoter. Particular nucleic acid probes and initiating agents are also described in the invention. |
