A receptor protein (RP), in isolated form, comprises a cytoplasmic domain with protein kinase activity, a kinase insert, a trans membrane domain and an extracellular domain having ca. 3 Ig-like repeats. Also claimed are (1) an isolated DNA sequence (I) encoding RP; (2) a (cloning or expression) vector comprising (I); (3) a recombinant host transformed with the vector of (2); and (4) a RP fragment having ca. 2 Ig-like repeats, only an extracellular and a trans membrane domain or only a cytoplasmic domain, DNA encoding these fragments, vectors contg. the DNA, and host cell transformed with the vectors. |
