Process for preparing the fixing surface of a dental ceramic body so that it can subsequently be fixed to a tooth with, for example, cements based on resin and glass polyalkenoate, and consisting in depositing, according to a gas deposition technique, and directly on the fixing surface of the ceramic body, a highly adhesive coating of an inorganic substance such as tin oxide in an ideal thickness of less than 2 microns. This coating reacts with the cement to produce a lasting chemical fixation which is not subject to chemical degradation in the oral environment and which does not harm the aesthetics of the associated dental restoration. |
