abstract | A photosensitive photographic silver halide material comprising a support carrying a layer of a silver halide emulsion comprising at least 50% silver chloride containing in or near the emulsion layer a nucleation of hydrazide as well as an amino activator, the combination of which makes it possible to obtain high contrast images, said emulsion is sensitized by means of a dye of the general formula (I) in which R1 and R2 each represent an atom hydrogen or halogen or an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a sulfoalkyl, trifluoromethyl or cyano group, R3 represents an alkyl or substituted alkyl group, R4 represents a sulfoalkyl group and R5 as well as R6 individually represent a group alkyl or substituted alkyl, and in which is the necessary counterion. |
