The invention relates to a medicament for oral or topical administration in the treatment of protozoal diseases, especially leishmaniasis, which contains as active ingredient one or more compounds of the general formula I <IMAGE> in which R<1> is a saturated or mono- or polyunsaturated hydrocarbon radical with 12 to 20 C atoms, and R<2>, R<3> and R<4> are, independently of one another, hydrogen, a C1-C5-alkyl group, a C3-C6-cycloalkyl group or a C1-C5-hydroxyalkyl group, it being possible for two of the radicals R<2>, R<3> and R<4> to form together a C2-C5-alkylene group which can optionally be substituted by an -O-, -S- or NR<5> group, in which R<5> is hydrogen, a C1-C5-alkyl group, a C3-C6-cycloalkyl group or a C1-C5-hydroxyalkyl group, and, where appropriate, customary pharmaceutical ancillary substances, diluents, vehicles and/or fillers. |
