Method for double inhibition of diseases induced by 5-lipoxygenase pathways and of diseases induced by cyclooxygenase pathways in a subject requiring such inhibition, comprising administering to said subject an effective dose of inhibition of non-toxic 5-lipoxygenase pathways or an effective nontoxic dose of inhibition of the cyclooxygenase pathways of a diaryl substituted imidazole fused to a second heterocyclic pentagonal or hexagonal unsaturated ring containing a nitrogen bridgehead atom, said second pentagonal ring also containing an atom of sulfur or oxygen or said hexagonal ring also containing an additional nitrogen atom. |
