titleOfInvention Method for producing a washable non-woven web in cotton
abstract . Process for the production of a nonwoven "spunlace" tablecloth based on cotton fibers, which consists continuously: . advancing a tablecloth (1) based on cotton fibers, . interlacing (2,3) these fibers using a plurality of jets of pressurized water, . to dry (8) this interlaced sheet, . and finally, to receive (10) the "spunlace" sheet (9) thus obtained, characterized : in that after interlacing (2,3), and before drying (8), the free water contained in the interlaced sheet (4) is filtered (5); then, in that one impregnates (6) this dewatered tablecloth by means of an aqueous solution of a polyamide-amine-epichlorohydrin resin (PAE) at a rate, measured in dry products, of 0.2% to 1% of the weight of cotton fibers; and in that, after expressing the excess solution, the impregnated sheet (7) is dried (8) at a temperature sufficient to at least initiate the crosslinking of the deposited PAE resin.
