A substantially purified antigen derived from a first species of parasitic nematodes, this antigen making it possible to protect a host against a parasitic infection by a second species of nematode, which may be identical to the first or different from it, after the host has been vaccinated with the antigen. This is characterized in that it is protein, that it has a pI of between 3.8 and 4.4, that it can be bound by the lens lectin and the lectin from Helix promatia and that it has a molecular weight of approximately 45 kD as determined by SDS-PAGE (electrophoresis on sodium dodecyl sulfate and polyacrylamide gel. |
