titleOfInvention FOR SEPARATING BLOOD COMPONENTS SERVING BLOOD BAG.
abstract Blood bag (1) used to separate the different components of the blood. The bag is provided with at least two connectors (7, 8) from which extend pipes or tubes leading to side containers to allow sterile transfer of said components from the bag to the side containers. Following centrifugation of the blood used to divide it into separate components, the component located in the upper part of the bag, i.e. the plasma, passes into one of the side containers, and the component located in the lower part of the bag, i.e. the erythrocytes, passes into the other lateral container, while the intermediate portion, the buffy coat, remains in the bag. Said bag is characterized in that the connections are arranged in an edge of the bag, that the first connection (7) is connected directly to the bag or is an opening connection, and that the second connection (8) communicates directly with the interior of the bag, or is an openable connection, and stops at a predetermined distance from said edge. This connector (8) may comprise a conduit (10, 19) extending to the interior of the bag, or a hollow rod (12) axially displaceable which can sink into the bag.
