Gp75 as a tumor vaccine for melanoma |
abstract |
The present invention relates to an isolated nucleic acid molecule whose sequence encodes the amino acid sequence for gp75 or a fragment thereof. Further described is a cDNA molecule isolated from the gp75 nucleic acid molecule or a fragment thereof and an amino acid sequence derived therefrom. The invention also relates to a vaccine intended to stimulate or strengthen the production of antibodies against gp75 in the patient to which it is administered. Methods using these vaccines to stimulate or enhance the production of antibodies to gp75 as well as to treat, prevent or delay the recurrence of cancer are also described. |
