abstract Catalytic reaction consisting in subjecting a hydrocarbon stream containing nitrogenous contaminants as well as dialkyl sulphides to a material capable of adsorbing these contaminants and these sulphides, before introducing this flow, thus freed from most of the contaminants and sulphides dimethyls it contains in the feed zone of a reactor. The method also includes subjecting the hydrocarbon stream to the effect of a catalyzing agent in a reaction zone and initiating the catalytic reaction of the hydrocarbon stream under conditions which favor the formation of a reaction product and prohibit the reaction of nitrogenous contaminants and dimethyl sulphides with the catalyzing agent.
