titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR PRODUCING NUCLEOSIDES AND THEIR ANALOGS. |
abstract | A new process for the production of a nucleoside such as cytarabine, or an analog, comprising the step of reacting a 2,2'-O-cyclonucleoside or an analog with an amine. The process is preferably carried out in the presence of an aqueous solvent. The invention also relates to a novel process for the production of 2,2'-O-cyclonucleoside precursor compounds and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, comprising the reaction of a 2,3'-O-dialkylstannylene nucleoside compound with an amine in the presence of a sulfonyl compound. Cytarabine is a known antineoplastic and antiviral agent. |
