titleOfInvention | Fungicidal compositions |
abstract | A novel fungicidal composition comprises a compound of general formula: <CHEM> wherein R represents a halogen atom, an alkyl group or a halophenoxy group; and a free or alkyl-terminated aliphatic alcohol alkoxylate, for example an ethoxylate (with an average of 2-9 ethylene oxide units per molecule) of a C8-20 aliphatic alcohol, as adjuvant. It has been found that the presence of the alkoxylate substantially enhances the fungicidal efficacy of a compound of general formula I, in particular in foliar spray applications. A preferred compound of general formula I is dimethomorph (R = chlorine). It may be the sole active ingredient or may have active ingredient partner(s), a preferred active ingredient partner being mancozeb. |
