titleOfInvention Method for enhancing antibody transport through capillary barriers
abstract A method of increasing the transcytosis of an antibody across the microvascular barrier and into the interstitial fluid of organs. The method includes cationizing the antibody with a cationizing agent to increase the isoelectric point of the antibody by a value between 1 and about 7 to produce a cationized antibody having an isoelectric point less than about 11.5. The increased speed of transport of the antibody across the microvascular barriers of the organs makes such cationized antibodies useful both in terms of therapeutic applications and in terms of diagnosis.
