The invention relates to a method for polymerization using a Lewis base which accelerates the reaction. An epoxide compound, e.g. a diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A is mixed with a metal complex compound of general formula MLxBy or M [SR]xBz and heat energy is supplied. M is a metallic ion, L is a ligand, SR is an acid residue ion of an inorganic acid, B is a Lewis base, x is a natural number analogous to the valency of the metallic ion, y is a natural number and z is a natural number greater than 6. |
