abstract |
The specification describes and claims a method of providing an anti-corrosion coating on steel. The coating is formed by application of a silicone based foamable composition. Preferred compositions are formed by mixing ingredients selected to provide a cured foam having a density less than 150 Kg/m³ within 120 seconds of mixing at 20°C. The compositions comprise polysiloxanes having alkylhydrogensiloxane units, silicon-bonded hydroxyl groups, and fluorinated groups and a hydrosilylation catalyst. |
