titleOfInvention | Flow immunosensor method and apparatus |
abstract | A method of detecting a target molecule fragment comprises the following steps: a) providing an antibody (37) specific to the target; b) saturating the antibody binding sites (37) with a marked form of the target (39); c) pouring a liquid containing the target onto the antibody (37); d) allow the target to displace the labeled antigen (39), and (e) detect the labeled antigen (39) thus displaced. This invention is accomplished by means of a flow immunodetector: a liquid transports, by flowing, a sample through the immunodetector; a collecting element (13) introduces the sample into the liquid; a flow control element (21, 23) regulates the movement of the liquid through the immunodetector; an exchanger (35) brings the sample into contact with labeled antigens of the target, so that any target present displaces the labeled antigen (39); a detection apparatus (41, 41a) detects any labeled antigen (39) that is released; and an evacuation means (45) evacuates or collects the waste coming from the detection apparatus (41, 41a). |
