The process for the preparation of butene- (1) consists in carrying out the dimerization of ethylene in a hydrocarbon-containing solvent at a temperature of 50 to 150 ° C. and a pressure of at most 4 mPa in the presence of a catalytic system. The catalytic system consists of tetraalkoxy titanium, trialkyl aluminum and a modifier. The modifier used is dialkylaluminium halides of the general formula AlR2Hal, in which R is C2H5, iso-C4H9, Hal is Cl, Br, J, in combination with an aliphatic or cyclic ether. The molar ratio of trialkylaluminum: tetraalkoxytitanium is 2.5-7.0 in each case : 1.0, the molar ratio of dialkylaluminum halide: tetraalkoxytitanium each 0.0I-1.7,: 1.0, the molar ratio of aliphatic or cyclic ether: tetraalkoxytitanium, each 1.0-8.0: 1.0. |
