Method for immobilizing starry molecules of polyethylene oxide (PEO) in the form of hydrogels. The star molecules of PEO are biocompatible and have non-thrombogenic properties. As such, said star molecules of PEO find many uses for biomedical applications. Hydrogels contain a high percentage of terminal hydroxyl groups for the attachment of affinity ligands and can be used to separate and purify therapeutic proteins. |
