titleOfInvention | Oxide cathode and method of its manufacture |
abstract | The present invention relates to oxide cathodes comprising, on a support (1), a layer (20) of one or more alkaline earth metal oxides covered with a mixture (21) of one or more alkali metal oxides - earthy and scandium oxide. Preferably, the mixture of alkaline earth metal oxides and scandium oxide contains a weight content of scandium oxide less than or equal to 5%, without however being zero. In addition, the mixture of alkaline earth metal oxides and scandium oxide can be formed from a succession of layers, two successive layers containing a different content by weight of scandium oxide.n n n Application to oxide cathodes with a long service life and high current density. |
