abstract A control device for electrically heated flavor generators comprises a sensor (2) which detects user lip activity associated with taking a draw on the flavor generator and associated control circuitry (5) which distinguishes between genuine draw lip activity and other activity which can cause the sensor to generate signals. Only genuine signals are passed to trigger heating of flavor-generating materials (8) to release flavor to the user.
