titleOfInvention Process for the preparation of a high molecular weight, linear polyester
abstract A process is described for producing a high molecular weight polyester by post-condensation of a suspension of a solid, finely divided polyester of lower molecular weight at elevated temperature in a liquid heat transfer medium which does not penetrate into the polyester. The process for post-condensation of polyesters from assemblies of the formulas III and IV is preferred silicone oils are used and as heat transfer medium. The products obtained are largely linear and are free of insoluble components.
