titleOfInvention | ANTIVIRAL AGENT EXTRACT FROM THE HULL OF BANCOUL NUTS. |
abstract | The invention relates to the use, as an antiviral pharmaceutical agent, of the active ingredient present in the juice extracted from the husk of bancouli. This active ingredient is particularly useful in the topical treatment of viral infections, such as simple herpes, genital herpes, papillomas of the genitals, herpes zoster and chickenpox. This liquid juice thus extracted, in the raw state or transformed into a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, is administered topically to the surface lesion caused by the virus. Certain components present in the active ingredient of the juice of the shell of the nut of bancoul contain methylesters of fatty acids with long chains as well as their isomers. |
