titleOfInvention METHOD FOR THE ACCELERATED PRODUCTION OF STABLE SOLUTIONS, IN BALANCE, OF PERACRIC ACID IN LOW CONCENTRATIONS.
abstract The production of peracetic acid solutions in dilute equilibrium, preserving their stability during storage, from mixtures of aqueous hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid or by the dilution of more concentrated solutions of peracetic acid, takes a long time due to the low concentrations of the active substances involved in it. The process can be accelerated by means of a two-step procedure in which, first, a solution of concentrated peracetic acid is diluted with partially hydrolyzed water, and, in the second step, the reaction of hydrolysis is suppressed by the addition of hydrogen peroxide.
