titleOfInvention | Detection of point mutations in genes encoding gtp binding proteins |
abstract | Method for detecting the presence of a point mutation in a nucleic acid encoding a protein or protein subunit of GTP binding. The invention also relates to methods for characterizing point mutations, where appropriate. According to a preferred embodiment, the method consists in the amplification of a nucleic acid segment followed by the hybridization of a probe specific for the sequence. The method is preferably directed to nucleic acids encoding an alpha subunit of protein G or a protein p21 ras. |
