titleOfInvention | Production of high strength cellulose fiber using zinc chloride, organic solvents and aqueous solution |
abstract | This invention relates to the production of a tensile strength cellulose fiber spun by solvents which is stable in alkaline solutions. This invention relates more particularly to a process in which the cellulose is dissolved in a zinc chloride solution, which is then extruded in a coagulation medium in which the cellulose fibers are formed. The fibers are then taken out of the coagulation medium, they are treated to remove the said coagulation medium, they are stretched and they are recrystallized from water to thereby form high-strength cellulose fibers spun by solvents. |
