abstract | It has been discovered that administration of a polydrug drug of ibogaine, ibogamine, tabernanthin, alkaloids of the apocynaceae family, or their non-toxic salts interrupts the physiological and psychological aspects of polydrug dependence (heroin, cocaine, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, amphetamine, deoxyephedrine or methadone or combinations thereof). A single treatment or series of treatments can be effective for one to eighteen months or more. Treatment consists of oral or rectal administration of ibogaine, ibogamine, tabernanthin or their salts or derivatives in dosage ranges between 1 mg / kg and 60 mg / kg. |
