| abstract |
In order to make housings used in motor vehicle construction for accommodating electronic components suitable for the engine compartment, complex measures are taken that require high manufacturing costs. According to the invention, a housing is created which enables simple manufacture at low cost and offers reliable protection of the electronics by providing the electronic components mounted on an electronic carrier with a protective lacquer and then applying a flexible and waterproof film to the electronic components to protect them against moisture that it is airtight and watertight on a peripheral edge which is formed by a metal plate carrying the electronics carrier. Finally, a housing cover serves as mechanical protection, which together with the metal plate forms the housing. |
