titleOfInvention | Modified fluorohydrocarbon polymers |
abstract | This invention relates to fluorohydrocarbon npolymers which are modified by the incorporation of nsubstitiuents bearing a functional group such as vinyl, nallyl, acrylate, alkoxysilane, amido, sulfonic acid salt, npyridine, carboxylic ester and carboxylic salt. The nfunctional groups may be further reacted to obtain branching, ngrafting or crosslinking of the polymers. Copolymers of nvinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropene such as VITON A nrubber and KYNAR FLEX 2801 plastomer, are typical of the nclass of fluorohydrocarbon polymers which are modified to nobtain the new materials of this invention. |
