titleOfInvention STEROIDELUATING INTRAMUSCULAR DIRECTION.
abstract Improved wire (100) intended to electrically stimulate muscle tissue, configured in particular for a cardiac aid system controlled by skirrurgically modified skeletal muscle tissue. Skeletal muscle is either wrapped around the heart itself, or around an auxiliary pumping chamber attached to the aorta. The electrical stimulation is routed through the improved wire (100) to cause the skeletal muscle to contract in synchronism with the heart rate rhythmically or naturally and is timed to obtain the desired hemodynamic effect. The improved wire (100) has an electrode (114, 124) placed in the skeletal muscle. The skeletal muscle stimulation threshold is kept relatively low by the action of a glucocorticosteroid inserted into the suture material (120). Placing the drug material in this position allows it to play an anti-inflammatory role throughout the path of the suture material (120), and to treat the specific area of electrode contact from the inside the muscle itself. The specific contact area of the electrode can also be treated from the side of the electrode, by placing a similar drug inside the electrode (124).
