METHOD FOR SEPARATING AND SUSPENDING SUPERPARAMAGNETIC PARTICLES, AND APPARATUS. |
abstract |
Superparamagnetic particles are separated from a suspension of these in a first fluid and they are resuspended in a container in the same or another fluid by subjecting them to a first magnetic field in order to attract the particles to a surface or area of the container, then resuspending the particles in a fluid inside the container using the application of a second magnetic field. An apparatus is described which comprises a container (1), a device (2, 3) for applying said first and second magnetic fields, containers (7) for reagents and a washing container (8). A particle counter device can also be used to count cells. |
