A process for the preparation of peridichalogenated aromatics, in which an alkali metal sulfide, selenide or telluride is prepared in a first step in an amidic solvent, which is reacted in a second process step with a perihalogen aromatic compound containing at least two adjacent halogen atoms, characterized in that in the first process step at elevated temperature, an alkali metal base with elemental sulfur, selenium or tellurium. |
