abstract Solutions of polycondensates which have heterocyclic ring systems with N atoms as structural units, or solutions of precursors of these polycondensates in organic solvents containing 0.1 to 20% by weight, based on the polycondensates or their precursors, of at least one azidosilane of the general formula N₃-R³-Si-R¹ n (OR²) 3-n I wherein R¹ is a C₁-C₃-alkyl, phenyl, benzyl or toluyl group, R² is a C₁-C₄-alkyl, C₂-C₄-alkoxyalkyl, phenyl or benzyl group, R³ is a C₁-C₈- Alkylene group which can be interrupted by an oxygen atom, sulfur atom or a - (N-R⁴) group, in which R⁴ represents a hydrogen, a methyl, ethyl or phenyl group, and n represents 0.1 or 2.
