abstract Novel semicarbazides of the formula (* CHEMICAL STRUCTURE *) (1) wherein R1 and R2, each independently of the other, are hydrogen, C1-C5alkyl, C2-C5alkenyl, C1-C5alkoxy or phenyl, or R1 and R2, together with the linking nitrogen atom, form a morpholine or piperazine radical, p is 0 or 1, and Q depends on the value of p as described herein. The novel compounds, which are water-soluble in aqueous application systems, have fibre affinity and are suitable for the photochemical and thermal stabilization of polyamide fibre materials and the dyeings produced thereon.
