abstract | The rana pipiens eggs are fertilized and the embryos are brought to a predetermined stage of development. Embryos and unfertilized eggs are then subjected to mechanical treatment in the presence of a weakly acidic buffer to produce an extract. The extract is subjected to ion exchange chromatography and dimensional exclusion chromatography. The resulting pharmaceutical product is active against certain cancer cells. The amino acid sequence and the composition of the pharmaceutical product are the subject of the invention. When the pharmaceutical product is combined with other products sold under the trademarks of TAMOXIFEN and STELAZINE, the combination with TAMOXIFEN has unexpected bioactivity in vitro against cells affected by human pancreatic adenocarcinoma ASPC-1 and the combination with STELAZINE has unexpected bioactivity in vitro against cells affected by human lung carcinoma. |
