titleOfInvention | Process for treating silver halide photographic meterial and composition therefor |
abstract | A process for desilvering in the development of a photographic material and a composition used for this purpose, aiming at solving the problem encountered in using conventional fixers represented by thiosulfates and proposed substitutes therefor. The use of a mesoionic compound of general formula (I), as the fixer in the fixing or bleach-fix bath allows the treatment to be conducted with an excellent desilvering efficiency, thus giving a stable picture image. In color photography, the use of a bleach-fix bath containing a fixer comprising only a mesoionic compound of general formula (II), in an amount of 0.1 mol/l results in an extremely reduced bleaching fog. |
