titleOfInvention HIGHLY EFFICIENT CELLULOSE BLEACHING PROCESS USING CHLORINE DIOXIDE.
abstract Highly efficient process for bleaching technical cellulose, to produce technical celluloses of greater whiteness using an equal amount of chlorine dioxide, or an equal whiteness using an amount of dioxide significantly reduced chlorine. The process consists in reacting the chlorine dioxide with technical cellulose at a pH between approximately 5 and 10 for approximately 5 to 40 minutes, then acidifying the mixture to a pH between approximately 1.9 and 4, 2. Then, the mixture is allowed to react for about two hours or more, in order to complete the two-step high / low pH bleaching process.
