abstract Pharmaceutical composition for the controlled release of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and the achievement of effective plasma drug levels for twelve to twenty-four hours. Said controlled release composition comprises: a) 3 or 4 unit doses (nuclei) each containing one third or one quarter of the total dose of the drug respectively, said unit doses being made up of tablets which can disintegrate and / or tablets which cannot disintegrate, comprising the active ingredient as well as hydrophilic polymeric substances capable of gradually releasing the active ingredient; and b) hard capsules containing three or four unit doses to be released.
