titleOfInvention | Alditylamine anhydrides and method for their preparation |
abstract | New 1-amino-1-deoxy-3,6-anhydro-hexitols 1 and 1-amino-1-deoxy-2,5-anhydro-pentitols 2 of general formula (I). <IMAGE> where n = 1 for compounds 1 and n = 0 for compounds 2 and in which R is either H or COR¹. Process for the preparation of new alditylamine anhydrides of formula (I) characterized in that a 1-amino-1-deoxy-alditol (glycamine) is reacted with at least one carboxylic acid, an anhydride or a halide of corresponding acid in liquid hydrogen fluoride at a temperature below about 50 ° C, this reaction being optionally followed by a transformation of the anhydro-glycamines obtained into corresponding amides by means of a carboxylic acid, a way known per se. |
