Device for measuring the speed of rotation of a shaft of the type comprising a toothed wheel (1) driven in rotation by the shaft, a magnet (3) placed in the vicinity of the toothed wheel, characterized in that it comprises a optical fiber (6) having two ends (6-1, 6-3) and a central part (6-2), one of the ends (6-1) being connected to a light source (10), the other end (6-3) being connected to light analysis means (11), and the central part (6-2) comprising at least one part located in the magnetic field (8) produced by the magnet (3 ) and being subjected in this part to stresses generated by a magnetostrictive material (7). <IMAGE> |
